Description |
Regulator No. 12, c. 1910. 8-day time only brass movement. Uses Graham dead beat escapement and jeweled pallets. Weight driven. Pulley is mounted on iron base. Silvered astronomical dial reads, "Waltham Clock Co." Minutes indicated along edge in Arabic numbers. Two subsidiary dials. The upper indicated seconds in Arabic numbers, the lower indicates hours in Roman numerals. Silver beat scale reads "Waltham Clock Co. Waltham, Mass." Three jar mercury pendulum. Case is mahogany with two full columns with leaf capitals. Front panel has arched glass door. Two bulbous inverted finials at bottom of case. Case is topped off with carvings of two dogs flanking an eagle perched on an egg-like shape. |
