Description |
Walnut Empire style case with flat cornice and carved half columns on the door. Round turned decorations on the cornice and below the columns and on the door. Reverse painted stencilled upper door glass, mirror in lower door. Interior backboard papered with wallpaper. Painted iron dial with Roman numerals. Seconds bit is serprentine in shape. Eight day count wheel brass movement mounted on a seat board. Brass plates cut out. Winding arbors at the 2 and 10 position and typically off center to the left. A. Munger paper label inside. Patent pewter weight pulley (one remaining). "Flying Eagle" pendulum bob. Reverse stencilling and mirror are replacements. |
