Description |
c. 1910 - Ansonia Swinger Clock 8-day time only brass movement. The spring driven movement, along with a small pendulum, is housed inside sphere dial. Movement is regulated in reverse of normal timepiece becase of the compound or double pendulum. Therefore, to make it run slower, the conical bob is raised. Gloria Ball Swing style made by Ansonia Clock Company. Bob is black with brass accents. Bronze figure holding pendulum is of winged woman. In her other hand she holds a lyre. Base is engraved with a grid design. |
