Description |
Timby Solar Clock with 8-day time-only movement. Marine lever movement. Globe made and installed by the Boston firm of Gilman Joslin. 12 hour dial above the globe and a seconds dial below. The movement has a jeweled balance wheel and it is believed that only 600 of this type of clock were made. Patented by Theodore Timby. Manufactured by Dr. Lewis Whiting. Walnut case. Paper disc for the minutes in the lower opening is a replacement. |
