Description |
8-day time and cathedral gong strike brass movement with rack and snail strike system. Utilizes Gerry patent, which allowed for the winding of both the time and strike springs by a single arbor. One barrel was placed behind the other and ratcheting in opposite directions. Presentation clock has elaborate brass and silver case. Eight rounded brass feet support the embossed base. Five finials top the case; one in each corner and the fifth mounted to the top of the ornate brass fretwork crown. Square half columns flank the dial. Brass cherubs surround the top half of the dial while a face is below. Dial is green enamel with Roman numerals and covered with a beveled glass door. tandem wind "anniversary clock" |
