Description |
30 hour , three weight time, strike, quail and cuckoo clock. Walnut case inlaid with ash, ebony and mahogany. Leaf carving on crest, sides, and bottom of case. Two inverted finials at bottom of case. Geometric inlay surrounding the face and as trim along bottom. This 30-hour clcok was a product of Germany's Black Forest clock industry. The front is made of three layers of wood with opposing grain set together to prevent warping and cracking. Teh walnut case is inlaid with ash, ebony, and mahogany ornaments, some of which are missing. This model was made with quarter-hour strike and call as well as hour cuckoo. |
