Description |
30-hour time and alarm brass movement. Alarm set with brass ring in dial center. Lever activated by alarm strikes the sandpaper against the match, then swings the lit matches 180 degrees in order to light the brass oil lamp mounted at back of case. Paper label on back of case reads, "Illuminated Alarm Clock Manufactured by H.J. Davies." Wood case has a carved cup on each side of the case to hold extra matches. Etching in case along base and around the dial. A brass plaque reads, "Presented in Memory of Henry L. Clay by the Clay Family." |
