c 1833 Riley T. Woodin shelf clock 30-hour wood time and strike movement Type 8.138 by Elisha Hotchkiss. Label: Improved Clocks, Manufactured and Sold by Riley T. Woodin, Decatur, N. Y. (no printer). Roman dial with gold gesso corners. Stenciled column and splat case with looking glass. Back board has shellacked newspaper adhered to it. Brass label: "Presented to NAWCC museum in memory of Earl Strickler by Frank Tukey #2780 - 1975" Envelope at bottom of case with pendulum bob and key. |
