C 1860 French Shelf Clock Movement Marked "Medaille D'bronze/ J. Marti et Cie" and Medaille d'orr/ Bte SCDG/Paris/GLT". Brass dial, Roman numerals, no faceplate, spring-driven, slate base, ship is painted brass. Working compass at top that depicts a fantain of a ship. Silver helmsman activated by pendulum of an 8 -day time and strike brass movement. Two brass lanterns and a pendulum in envelope accompanying clock. Front width is 11" x 9 1/2" x 12". |
