Description |
Mahogany cased 30-hour shelf clock. Movement is a modification of the Charles Kirk patent, dated August 26, 1843, which features a cast iron back plate with spring barrels as part of the back plate. Count wheel strike. Case made by MIller & Byington, Polkville, CT, now part of Bristol. Label inside reads "Patent Spring Brass Clocks, Made & Sold by E.C. Brewster, Bristol, Conn." Lower tablet on case is a mirror. |
