Description |
8-day brass time and strike movement with rack and snail strike with tailless gathering pallet and rack hook locking, OG Gothic cutout at bottom of plates. Painted iron dial with Arabic hours and minutes, raised gilt lyre spandrels, moon's age, signed Jacob Diehl, Bedford Cherry case with scroll top bonnet with 4 free-standing pillars, chamfered waist with string inlay, string inlay in base. Keystone and plinth on bonnet were added, feet have been shortened. Brass eagle finial which came with piece is not original. |
