Time and strike movement wound from the dial. slow/fast indiactor under the 12. Back cover pierced brass to allow sound to escape. |

John Bigelow founded the company John Bigelow and co in 1830 as a jewelry shop. Brother Alanson joined a years later and they they changesd the name to Bigelow Bros. and Co. when they expanded into clocks, watches and alter silverwear. The merchandise was privately manufactured and sold in boston. Martin Parry Kennard joined the firm in 1845, hence the name Bigelow Bros. and Kennard. 1863, they dropped Bros and it became Bigelow Kennard and Co. Company closed in 1971. |
