C 1960 Constant Force Type Escap This 8-day regulator uses the escapement invented by Sigmund Riefler in 1893. the impulse is conveyed to the pendulum through the flexing of the suspension spring. The actual escapement is the brocot dead beat which emplys two escape wheels, one for the locking and one for the impulse. Both pivots of the escape wheel arbor turn in jewelled pivot holes.
