Description |
30-hour Model 2, time and strike wood movement, strap front plate count wheel strike, off-center escapement, four-arbor trains, back plate of movement serves as part of case back. Painted wood Arabic dial with seconds, floral spandrels with gilt gesso borders, flowers and gilt gesso at center. Label inside reads, "Patent Clocks, Made and Sold by Seth Thomas, And warranted if well used." Pillar and scroll case has modern but appropriate finial replacements. Reverse painted tablet with off-center window for pendulum. |
