Hanging wooden movement and dial with wood gears and frame. Eight glass bells mounted on top of movement. Three weights with pendulum hanging in front of dial. Carved and painted dial with roman numerals. White central dial flanked by gold leaf lions on a blue and red background. |

Musical train has wooden barrel pinned for six tunes, played on nine glass bells. Bells are hung from a two-tiered wood frame, the top tier has a row of three bells and a row of two bells. The bottom tier has two rows of two bells. The bells are struck with wood hammers. Strikes the quarter hours and plays any one of six manually selected tunes through twice on the hour.. Verge escapement with a "Kuhnschwantz" or cows tail pendulum in front of the dial. Brass hands. One piece carved gesso, gold and silver leaf wooden amorial dial. Two lions flank the 6 1/2" dial. |
