Notes |
The clock is decorated to look like stone with a cross mounted at the point of the archeds case. The glass door is painted with a depiction of the Annunciation, an event in the Christian religion when the angel Gabriel came to the Virgin Mary and told her she would bear the Son of God. Inside the door are a copy of the prayer to be said and a list of the indulgences given for consistent prayer. The Angelus Domini, translated as "Angel of the Lord," is a set of prayers recited at certain times during the day. For those who regularly recite this prayer at the given time, it is said that a partial indulgence is granted. (Information taken from Sacred exhibit, 2016) 12 slides in slide cabinet 1 |
