Description Portable sundial consisting of a small compass set into a wooden block and framed by a painted band giving directional notations in black and red. End of block opposite compass is bisected (2 parts are hinged together one above the other) and painted with additional notations of location and time; upper part has small brass gnomon; accompanying type-written list (in English) shows seasons, solstices, and equinoxes and corresponding numerical notations for each.
