Description |
15-day time and strike brass movement with conical pendulum, 1/4 hour strike. Spring motivated. Movement engraved, "F" and "Calibre 1 No 19." Brass ring around inside of dial engraved in script "Societe des Marbres Onyx d'Algerie/G. Viot & Cie /24 Boult des Italiens Paris." 9'3 high, Onyx Base with silvered bronze statues by A. Carrier. Onyx pedestal by G. Viot & Company. Silvered bronze cherub in relief below skeletonized dial. Was first on display at Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition in 1876. |
