Description 3-tier mahagony brass bound chronometer box, Liverpool or flush handles. Top of box has a brass shield inlaided into the top, no inscription. Has key to lock box. No marks on movement. 3613 stamped on inside of back bezel. Silvered dial with 56 hour Up/Down indicator below 12. Inscribed "Bryant Biggs, 64 Bute St. Cardiff." Number 3613 within the seconds dial. Gold colored hour and minute hands. Has winged key. Business card of Edwin Bowers and Sons, 333 George Street, Sydney pasted inside lid of box. Round cream colored medallion attached to front of box "Bryant Biggs, 3613, Cardiff." Chronometer was made in St. Albans, England by Thomas Mercer in 1881, and sold to Bryant Biggs, Cardiff, Wales.
